The Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith: Dr.
Michael Beckwith’s life is a living testament to building spiritual community. In the 1970’s
he began an inward journey into the teachings of East and West, and today
he teaches universal truth principles found in the New Thought-Ancient Wisdom
tradition of spirituality. Gifted with a vision of a trans-denominational
spiritual community, in 1986 he founded the Agape International Spiritual
Center upon his faith in that original vision.
The Rev. Cynthia Lippert: Rev. Cynthia Lippert is the Senior Minister of the Unity Church of Wichita, in Wichita, Kansas. She was ordained by the United Divine Science Ministerial School, San Antonio, Texas on June 27, 1999. Rev. Lippert successfully founded the New Thought Community Church in Wichita in 1999, and after four years she turned that church over to her associate minister. It continues to thrive today. Rev. Lippert is currently serving as the President of the International New Thought Alliance (INTA).
The Rev. Dr. Sheila McKeithen: Dr.
McKeithen defied the odds in 1986 when medical doctors assured her that she
had only 6 days to live. Having proven the healing power of God, she has committed her life to teaching and sharing with others their inner potential to overcome life’s challenges. She serves as the Senior Minister of The Universal Centre of Truth for Better Living in Kingston, where she constantly inspires her congregation to “awaken
to their divine potential.”
The
Rev. Ellen Grace O’Brian: The Rev. Ellen Grace O'Brian is the Founding Minister and Spiritual Director of the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment (CSE) in San Jose, CA, an interfaith ministry with spiritual roots in the tradition of Kriya Yoga. Rev. O'Brian's ministry focuses on the essential truth and harmony found in the world's religions, the necessity for a global ethical and spiritual awakening to bring about world peace, and the importance of individual participation toward this goal.
Bishop Carlton Pearson: Carlton Pearson is blazing a new trail of spiritual leadership on a global scale. With 30 years of celebrated national media exposure, Pearson has demonstrated that he is an esteemed, articulate, and leading authority of the modern Pentecostal church. With the summer 2006 release of his new book, The Gospel of Inclusion, Pearson is quickly becoming known as “a voice of reason in a world of religious extremes.” Rejected over the last several years by mainstream Christian leadership, Bishop Carlton Pearson has been declared a modern-day heretic for questioning the teaching of Christian doctrine that promotes a loving God who would sentence billions of people to an eternal hell for not becoming Christian, a discussion which has come to be known as the Gospel of Inclusion.
The Rev. Evan Reid: The
Rev. Evan Reid was ordained in 1987 by the Universal Foundation for Better
Living, Inc. In 1995 he established the Verity Centre for Better Living
in Toronto, Canada. Rev. Reid emphasizes that every individual has the
spark of goodness that can only be revealed when that individual begins to release the issues of the past and realize that each moment is a gift, an opportunity to be more and do more. He says: "As
spiritual beings in the process of becoming, we are unlimited; the more
we become and the more we do, the greater the capacity to expand.”
The Rev. Dr. James Trapp: James Trapp, President and CEO of the Association of Unity Churches, began his term in 2005. Rev. Trapp was ordained in 1994 and served at Unity on the Bay in Miami, Florida for ten years. He was instrumental in creating a growing and dynamic spiritual community that is racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse, mirroring the wide spectrum of people who live in South Florida. Under his leadership, Unity on the Bay grew from an average Sunday attendance of 125 to more than 1,300.
The Rev. Dr. Mary Tumpkin:
The Rev. Dr. Mary Tumpkin, President of the Universal Foundation for Better
Living and Senior Minister of the Universal Truth Center for Better Living
in Miami Gardens, Florida, is a widely acclaimed teacher/minister/Bible scholar
who has lectured throughout the United States as well as England, Canada,
South America, Spain, and the Caribbean. Some of Dr. Tumpkin’s teachings
are chronicled in her publications Tithing: Are You Ready? and Before You Pray—Forgive. Dr. Tumpkin currently serves as the interim Senior Minister of Christ Universal Temple in Chicago, IL.
